Eleven rooms, in four original log buildings,
& no two alike.
Each was once part of a private family camp and still behaves like one. A stone fireplace laid by hand, a bed built for the room it stands in, a door that opens onto the water. Choose the one that suits you; we will remember it for next time.

In every room
A wood-burning fireplace of native stone · A handcrafted bed · A private bath · A place to sit outside · Le Labo Santal 33
Well-behaved pets, at no charge · No television · Very little wi-fi
1,200 sq. ft. · Wraparound deck
The Boathouse
From $6,800 per night, all-inclusive
Our most requested room, and the one guests write to us about years later. It sits above the boats at the water’s edge — lofted, open, canopied bed at the centre, a stone fireplace at one end and Upper Saranac Lake at the other. Ask early.
The Main Lodge
The Rockefellers’ own cabin, and home to the Great Hall. Four rooms sit along its private corridors, a short walk from the fire and the bar.
Mohawk
From $4,200 per night, all-inclusive
A door of its own opens straight onto a private patio; inside, a fieldstone fireplace under beamed wood ceilings.
Morningside
From $3,950 per night, all-inclusive
Lake-facing and full of morning light under a beamed cathedral ceiling — the one room that converts to twin beds.
Algonquin
From $3,500 per night, all-inclusive
The library room — butterscotch panelling, floor-to-ceiling antique books, and a writing desk at a bank of leaded windows.
Iroquois
From $3,400 per night, all-inclusive
Fieldstone fireplace built from stones hauled off local fields a century ago · Walk-in waterfall shower
The Eagle’s Nest
Above The Pub, tucked into the hillside. Three rooms with the most seclusion on the property, and the shortest walk to a game of billiards.
Sentinel
From $5,000 per night, all-inclusive
A two-room suite on the upper floor with views in every direction, two stone fireplaces, and a bed on silver birch posts.
Lookout
From $4,900 per night, all-inclusive
High in the trees above the lake, panelled in painted wood and coloured like the forest — deep green, berry red, gold.
Trappers
From $4,200 per night, all-inclusive
A cabin in the woods with its own entrance — rough-cut pine, a river-stone fireplace, birch trunks either side of the bed.
The Guest House
Where the family put their friends. Three rooms, a few minutes’ walk from the Lodge, and the quietest corner of the estate.
Weatherwatch
From $5,200 per night, all-inclusive
Formerly the Guest House living room — a wall of lake windows facing a chiselled stone fireplace under a cathedral ceiling.
Evensong
From $4,200 per night, all-inclusive
Sunlit by day and lamplit by night, with a fieldstone fireplace set into a windowed alcove facing the bed.
Saranac
From $3,950 per night, all-inclusive
A Great Camp classic panelled entirely in fir, with a vaulted ceiling and glass doors onto a private stone patio.
Choosing your room
Nearly half our guests return, and most return to the same room in the same week. We would encourage you to book further ahead than feels necessary.
If you would rather talk it through, our reservations team knows every room in every season and will tell you honestly which one suits. Some rooms are reached by wooded paths and stairs; we are happy to walk you through what each involves.
The whole camp,
or part of it.
Some guests would rather not share the place at all. The entire estate can be reserved — all eleven rooms, the Great Hall, The Pub, the boats and the seventy-five acres — for a gathering, a celebration, or a few days of company you have chosen yourself. Children are welcome when the camp is taken in full.
A single building can also be held on its own. Eagle’s Nest, with its three rooms and The Pub beneath them, is the one most often asked for.

The rate is the
whole of it.
Every meal, prepared by our kitchen and served wherever you would like it. Wine with dinner, and the bar whenever you want it. Boats, bikes, skis, skates and everything else in the shed. Transfers from the airport. Gratuities.
There is no resort fee, no activity fee, and nothing to sign for. A handful of rare bottles from the cellar and a few off-property arrangements carry a charge, and we will always tell you before they do.
Eleven rooms,
& one of them is yours.
Check availability for your dates, or call and we will find them for you.
