A ground-floor room at the end of the Main Lodge, with its own door onto a private patio, so the morning can start outside before anyone else is up.

Inside, a fieldstone fireplace sits under beamed wood ceilings, and the Great Hall is a short walk down the corridor.

The patio.

The patio is yours alone: two chairs, a low table and a view through the pines to the water. Breakfast can be brought out to it, and usually is.

In the evening it is the quietest place on the property to sit before dinner.

The bath.

A deep tub under a window onto the trees, and a separate shower lined in slate. The floors are heated through the colder months.

Robes and towels are changed twice a day.
