The ground floor of the Eagle’s Nest, built like a cabin in the woods: rough-cut pine walls, a river-stone fireplace, and birch trunks standing either side of the bed.

It has its own entrance from the path, so you can come and go without passing anyone.

A door of its own.

The door opens onto a short path through the hemlocks and down to the water. Boots and a lantern are kept beside it.

Guests who like to walk before breakfast tend to choose this room for that alone.

The bath.

A shower walled in river stone, a cedar soaking tub, and heated floors.

Everything smells faintly of pine, on purpose.
