750 sq. ft. · King or two twins

Morningside

From $3,950 per night, all-inclusive

The east side of the Main Lodge, facing the lake, and the first room on the property to catch the sun. The ceiling is a beamed cathedral; the windows run nearly to the floor.

It is the one room that can be made up with two twin beds, which makes it the room friends travelling together tend to ask for.

The morning light.

On a clear day the light comes off the lake and fills the room by seven. Coffee is left at the door; most guests take it to the window seat.

Shutters close it down completely for anyone who would rather sleep through it.

The bath.

A claw-foot tub and a walk-in shower, both under a skylight. The floors are heated.

Two basins, so nobody waits.
